Official $50K Giveaway Rules & Terms

1. The Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded, consisting of a total value of $50,000 toward home improvement projects with a Prairie Home Alliance member company. The prize value is distributed as follows:
   1. Prize Transfer: The winner may choose to transfer the prize credit to a friend or family member (e.g., parents gifting the prize to their children), provided the recipient owns a home within the eligible service territory.
   2. New Projects: Credit may be applied to new 2026 projects completed by a Prairie Home Alliance member company.
   3. 2026 Refunds: If the winner (or transferee) has already completed and paid for a project with a Member Company during the 2026 calendar year, the winner may elect to have the cost of that project refunded, and the remaining balance of the prize will be issued as a credit for future work (Total prize value not to exceed $50,000).
   4. Expiration: To utilize the credit, the project must have a start date within the calendar years of 2026 or 2027. Any portion of the prize credit not utilized on a project started by December 31, 2027, will expire.
   5. Cash Value: The credit cannot be exchanged for cash (except in the specific instance of refunding a paid 2026 project as detailed above).
2. Drawing Date The Grand Prize drawing will be held in November 2026, following the conclusion of our Fall event season. You do not need to be present to win.
   1. Winner Selection: One (1) Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Season Windows. The drawing will be conducted by Prairie Home Alliance, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Giveaway.
3. Winner Notification The winner will be contacted by email and text message to verify eligibility. If the winner does not respond within 7 days, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be drawn.
4. Eligibility Open to homeowners within the Prairie Home Alliance service territory (Greater Peoria Area, Bloomington-Normal, Champaign-Urbana, Galesburg/Macomb regions). Entrants must be 18 years or older to enter. Prairie Home Alliance employees and their immediate families are not eligible to win.
5. Entry Limit & Frequency:
   1. Online Entry: Limit one (1) online entry per person, per season.
   2. Bonus Entry: One (1) bonus entry per person will be awarded for completing a qualified in-home consultation that was scheduled at a physical event. Note: Appointments that are cancelled or not completed do not qualify for the bonus entry.
6. Season Windows:
   1. Spring: February 9 – March 2026
   2. Summer: To be announced
   3. Fall: To be announced
7. General Conditions: By entering this giveaway, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. By accepting the prize, the winner grants Prairie Home Alliance and its member companies permission to use their name, likeness, image, voice, and photographs/video of the winning property/project for commercial and promotional purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
8. No Purchase Necessary: No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Completing a consultation for a Bonus Entry requires no obligation to purchase goods or services. 
9. Privacy: Information submitted with an entry is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the Prairie Home Alliance website. By entering, you consent to receive email and/or SMS communications from Prairie Home Alliance regarding this contest and future home improvement offers, subject to your opt-in preferences.
10. Taxes: The value of the prize ($50,000) is considered taxable income. The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with the acceptance and use of the prize.
    Prairie Home Alliance will issue an IRS Misc. 1099 form to the winner for the value of the prize.
